We're returning to Uncorked! Wine Bar in Saratoga. We'll have a guest speaker--Rob Moore, Mayor of Los Gatos, and a huge supporter of States Win. Enjoy some fabulous wine while you help get out the vote in Iowa! All proceeds will benefit our Iowa candidate Heather Matson running for the Iowa State Senate.
Suggested ticket price: $60/person - $100/couple (which includes a glass of wine) - $26.26 for under 30s.
Democrats have the best shot to win big in Iowa in more than a decade. Both the governor and U.S. Senate seats are open in Iowa at the same time for the first time since 1968. But it will be a tough fight.
Heather Matson is running for the open senate seat in District 2, just north of Des Moines. This district is a key battleground seat that will play a role in ending the Republican super-majority in the Iowa State Senate.
Help Heather and Iowa Democrats expand into these battleground districts by donating and attending the events we have planned for her.
Come to a South Bay phonebank on Saturdays, 12pm - 2pm PT! Join us either in Mountain View or from your home on Zoom. We're calling voters in Michigan and Wisconsin for Darrin Camilleri (MI SD4) and Ryan Spaude (WI AD89).
You use your laptop, not your phone. No experience is necessary. We provide training and a supportive team environment. Let's win this together!
I’ll have to use my phone and then people will know who and where I am.
False. States Win uses a dialing system that connects to voters through local numbers. You won’t use your phone or your phone number. You click a button on your laptop and the dialer dials for you.
Nobody will pick up the phone because they won’t recognize my phone number.
False. People in other parts of the country are different from the SF Bay Area—they will answer their phone. We’ve had people answer their phone who were at a wedding or lying on a beach in Hawaii. Some have actually asked us to call them back later.
I can’t call for our candidate because I know very little about them. I won’t know what to say.
False. First, the candidate’s campaign provides some key information for us to share with the voter. Second, States Win HQ gives us one-page candidate sheets. Here is Darrin Camilleri’s and here is Ryan Spaude’s. Third, if the voter asks a question about the candidate that you can’t answer, let them know the campaign will reach out to them. Finding a voter who wants to communicate with the candidate is like winning the lottery…for the candidate. The campaign will contact the voter within a week.
