We are a group of dedicated volunteers in the South Bay area (part of California SF Bay), working to change the legislative landscape around the United States and build sustained progressive power in the states.
We fundraise, phone bank, write postcards, and work tirelessly to elect our candidates who will make a difference. We also participate in States Win Action Network's research to determine best practices for increasing voter participation. Read more about what we do.

In 2025 all of our candidates won in VA: Lily Franklin (HD 41), Josh Thomas (HD 21), and Leslie Mehta (HD 73). In 2024 tough elections two of our candidates won, Jodi Habush Sinykin, winning the WI Senate seat in District 8, and Brittney Miller, returning to her NV State Assembly seat. In November 2023, two of our VA candidates won and are defending the rights of Virginians in Richmond Joshua Cole (House of Delegates) and Schuyler VanValkenburg (State Senate). All of our candidates in 2022 won their elections: Darrin Camilleri (MI State Senate District 4), Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz (PA State House District 129), Mitzi Epstein (AZ Senate Legislative District 12), and Brittney Miller (NV State Assembly District 5), contributing to flipping MI Senate and PA State House blue.
We are consistently among the top States Win chapters in fundraising, phone calls, and postcards. In 2025, we contributed almost 14% of the total fundraising for the candidates and a whopping 38% of the total fundraising for State Bridges grassroots support program.
In 2026, we supported our alum Darrin Camilleri, who won reelection to Michigan State Senate District 4. Michigan was a key political battleground in 2026, with every statewide executive office, an open U.S. Senate seat, and the entire state legislature on the ballot. Democrats successfully defended their Senate majority and flipped the Michigan House, restoring a Democratic trifecta. Darrin has been a driving force behind advancing Democratic priorities in Michigan, and his victory helped secure the Senate majority.
Our second candidate was Ryan Spaude, who won reelection in Wisconsin's 89th Assembly District. Ryan first flipped this Green Bay–area battleground seat in 2024, demonstrating that voters were ready for pragmatic leadership focused on affordability and strong public schools. His victory helped Democrats defend their gains in the Assembly, which they flipped to Democratic control in 2026. Democrats also flipped the Wisconsin Senate, securing control of both legislative chambers and restoring a Democratic trifecta for the first time since 2010.
Our third candidate was Heather Matson, who won election to Iowa Senate District 21, flipping an open seat. A proven fighter for working families in the Iowa legislature, Heather helped expand Democratic representation in the Iowa Senate. Although Republicans retained control of the chamber, her victory represents important progress toward a future Democratic majority.
We also supported Eileen Hartnett Albillar, who won Pennsylvania Senate District 6, flipping a Republican-held seat. A longtime public servant and Bucks County Clerk of Courts, Eileen campaigned on affordable health care, strong public schools, and an economy that works for working families. Her victory contributed to Democrats flipping the Pennsylvania Senate for the first time in more than three decades, giving Democrats control of both legislative chambers and the governorship.
Finally, we backed Kari Rehrauer, who won reelection to Minnesota House District 35B. After winning one of the closest races in Minnesota in 2024, Kari successfully defended her seat in 2026. Her victory helped Democrats regain control of the Minnesota House, which had been evenly divided between the parties, and restore a Democratic trifecta.
State legislatures have never been more important, impacting people's lives in many subtle and direct ways. They also can stand as a bulwark against damaging federal policies. Let's win urgent elections and build progressive infrastructure to create enduring power in state legislatures and improve communities across the country!
